In 2007, he produced six instructional CDs for santur education.<\/p><p>In 2008, he founded his own music school in Tehran, the Avay-e-Shahrzad Music School, which continues to provide musical education to this day.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Since 2011, he has been teaching, composing, and performing in Germany\u2014collaborating with musicians from Europe, India, Africa, and Asia, as well as with various international ensembles.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #cea350;\"><b>Skills\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p><p>Neben dem aktiven Musizieren leitet er Workshops und Seminare f\u00fcr persische Musiktheorie, u.a. an der <a href=\"https:\/\/lma-nrw.de\/dozent\/21815-Kioomars-Musayyebi\/\">Landesmusikakademie Heek<\/a>, der Musikhochschule Dresden und im<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theaterdo.de\/ueber-uns\/mitarbeiter-innen\/biografie\/kioomars-musayyebi\/\">\u00a0Opernhaus Dortmund<\/a>, z.B. bei den Auff\u00fchrungen \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theaterdo.de\/produktionen\/detail\/die-buergschaft\/\">Die B\u00fcrgschaft<\/a>\u201c und \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theaterdo.de\/produktionen\/detail\/we-do-opera-der-kleine-schwarze-fisch\/\">Der kleine schwarze Fisch\u201c.<\/a><\/p><p>Seit 2017 ist Musayyebi als Beirat im\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrw-kultur.de\/\">NRW Kultursekretariat Wuppertal<\/a> t\u00e4tig und seit 2020 Musiker und Mitglied des Kuratoriums des Kollektivs: \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyond-the-roots.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beyond the roots<\/a>\u201c. Seit 2021 wirkt er als Sprecherrat der Plattform Aktuelle Musikkulturen (PAM) der <a href=\"https:\/\/musik-in-koeln.de\/de_DE\/vorstand-und-sprecherinnenrat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Initiative Freie Musik K\u00f6ln (IFM e.V.)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p>As a music scholar, he has been teaching both the practical and theoretical aspects of music for over two decades.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #cea350;\"><b>Career in Music\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p><p>Musayyebi spielte als Solist bei den Festivals: Moers Festival, Jazzoffensive-Potsdam, Fusion-Berlin, Opernhaus Berlin, Folk\u2019n\u2019Fusion\u2013(Hildesheim), Dastgah Festival. (Hannover), Musica Sacra International\u2013Marktoberdorf (Bayern), Ruhr International Festival (Bochum) und mit seiner Band, dem <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/kioomars-musayyebi-quartett\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kioomars Musayyebi Quartett<\/a> bei: Hildesheimer Wallungen, Essen.Original Festival sowie beim Wettbewerb Creole 2017 und 2019 in NRW.\u00a0<\/p><p>Seit 2013 ist er Teil des\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.andreasheuser.com\/transorient-orchestra.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transorient Orchestra<\/a>, einer aktuell 13- k\u00f6pfigen Weltmusik-Bigband aus dem Ruhrgebiet, welche 2017 den WDR-Jazz-Preis gewann und 2024 f\u00fcr den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in der Kategorie \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.schallplattenkritik.de\/bestenlisten\/longlist\/longlist-1-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Traditionelle ethnische Musik<\/a>\u201c nominiert wurde.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">In addition to the Transorient Orchestra, he has been performing regularly since 2016 with the virtuoso guitarist Andreas Heuser as the <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/duo-mit-andreas-heuser\/\" target=\"_self\">Duo \u201eSantur-Gitarre<\/a>\u201c. In 2015, he founded his own ensemble, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/kioomars-musayyebi-quartett\/\" target=\"_self\">Kioomars Musayyebi Quartett<\/a>, where four musicians from Iran and Germany artfully blend impressions of oriental melodies and rhythms with European arrangements, world music, and jazz influences.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">Since 2017, he has also performed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/orchesterderkulturen.de\/?srsltid=AfmBOorYrtYgYXp0kTniYiHwvUArRfyxPtYpm6apEspy9BgZLJHPiYD-\" target=\"_self\">Orchester der Kulturen<\/a>\u201c (\u201cOrchestra of Cultures\u201d)\u2014\u201cthe only orchestra featuring instruments from all over the world\u201d\u2014under the direction of <a href=\"https:\/\/adrian-werum.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Adrian Werum<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">In 2017 and 2019, he participated in two dialogue projects of the NRW Cultural Secretariat titled \u201cWest\u2013Eastern String Dialogue\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/soniq-music.com\/oriental-strings-2018-19-2\/\" target=\"_self\"> SONIQ \u2013 Oriental Strings<\/a>\u201c<\/p><p>Seit 2018 spielt er mit dem \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nouruzensemble.de\/aktuell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nouruz Ensemble<\/a>\u201c, welches aus vier Virtuosen orientalischer Instrumente besteht, der Djoze, der Santur, der Nay und verschiedenen Trommeln. Das Ensemble akademischer MusikerInnen wirkte u.a. in der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elbphilharmonie.de\/de\/programm\/nouruz-ensemble\/22013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elbphilharmonie Hamburg<\/a> 2025 auch au\u00dferhalb der Grenzen von Deutschland.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">In 2018, 2019, and 2023, Musayyebi accompanied the theater productions \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=adNmNIwPFzs\" target=\"_self\">A Letter to a Friend in Gaza<\/a>\u201cand \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colline.fr\/en\/spectacles\/house\" target=\"_self\">House<\/a>\u201c by the renowned director <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amos_Gitai\" target=\"_self\">Amos Gitai<\/a> in Paris and London. This collaboration continued in 2024 and 2025 with performances in Paris, London, Rome, Berlin, and Madrid.<\/p><p>2024 gastierte Musayyebi mit Gitais Werk \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/2019-2024.burgtheater.at\/produktionen\/chronik-eines-mordes-jitzchak-rabin\">Chronic of a murder<\/a>\u201d im Wiener Burgtheater. F\u00fcr Gitais nominierte Filmpremiere \u201c<a href=\"\/en\/imdb.com\/title\/tt33029928\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Why War<\/a>\u201d bei der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.labiennale.org\/en\/cinema\/2024\/out-competition\/why-war\">Biennale<\/a> in Venedig 2024 war Musayyebi ebenfalls Teil der musikalischen Ausgestaltung.<\/p><p>2025 folgte eine weitere Theaterpremiere namens \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.colline.fr\/spectacles\/golem\">Golem<\/a>\u201c in Paris und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatrodinapoli.it\/evento\/golem\/\">Pompeji<\/a>, weitere Zusammenarbeit im Theaterkontext folgte 2026 in Paris und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatroscanal.com\/espectaculo\/golem-amos-gitai-tc2526\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madrid<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">His 2021 album \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/discographie\/\" target=\"_self\">A Voice keeps calling me<\/a>\u201c was nominated for the German Record Critics\u2019 Award in the category \u201cTraditional Ethnic Music.\u201d<\/p><p>2021 bis heute ist er Mitglied des <a href=\"https:\/\/asambura-ensemble.de\">Asambura Ensembles<\/a>, &#8222;ein internationales MusikerInnen-Kollektiv, das den Gedanken von konstruktiven Dialogen verschiedener Kulturen und Religionen vermittelnd und kooperativ weitertr\u00e4gt.&#8220;<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">In 2022, he contributed to <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anette_Maiburg\" target=\"_self\">Annette Maiburg<\/a>\u2019s project <a href=\"https:\/\/anettemaiburg.de\/maiburg-ensemble\" target=\"_self\">Oriental Colours<\/a> \u2013 Literature, Music, and Dance from Iran in Dialogue\u201d, as well as to the award-winning \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/discographie\/\" target=\"_self\">Prima Materia<\/a>\u201d project by <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maria_Jonas_(S\u00e4ngerin)\" target=\"_self\">Maria Jonas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bassemhawar.com\/\" target=\"_self\">Bassem Hawar<\/a>.<\/p><p>2022 bis dato ist er Teil des transkulturellen \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/bridges-kammerorchester.de\">Bridges-Kammerorchesters<\/a>\u201d, welches seine Kompositionen, z.B. <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/medien\/\">Simorgh<\/a>\u00a0und <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/medien\/\">Entezar<\/a> urauff\u00fchrte.\u00a0<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">He also participated in the musical production of the acclaimed film \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/de\/title\/tt15536668\/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_cdt_t_3\" target=\"_self\">Rheingold<\/a>\u201d by <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fatih_Akin\" target=\"_self\">Fatih Akin<\/a> in 2022.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">In November 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.odl-online.de\" target=\"_self\">Orchester der Landesregierung NRW<\/a> performed some of his compositions during the concert \u201cMusic Like from 1001 Nights\u201d at the Tonhalle D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p><p>Ferner ist er seit 2023 engagiert im multidimensionalen K\u00fcnstlerkollektiv \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/kosmotronix\/\">Komostronix<\/a>\u201d, ein Projekt von <a href=\"https:\/\/marenlueg.org\">Maren Lueg<\/a> und im <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/tember-ensemble\/\">Tember Ensemble,<\/a> eine weitere transkulturelle und elektroakustische Kollaboration, initiiert von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hr2.de\/programm\/klassik-oper\/konzertsaal--hoerbar-in-concert---das-bridges-kammerorchester-in-frankfurt,epg-konzertsaal-2140.html\" target=\"_self\">Hessischen Rundfunk<\/a>  in Frankfurt.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">That same year, he also contributed to the musical realization of the award-winning film \u201e<a Ahadi<\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">The year 2025 has been marked by international performances, including appearances in theatrical contexts as well as classical concert collaborations with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concertgebouworkest.nl\/en\/calendar\/forbidden-echoes-2025-06-27\/\" target=\"_self\">Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra<\/a>  in Amsterdam and the <a href=\"https:\/\/orchestrenationaldebretagne.bzh\/spectacle\/cartes-postales\/\" target=\"_self\">Orchestre National de Bretagne<\/a> in Rennes.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\" class=\"translation-block\">In 2025, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kioomars-musayyebi.com\/en\/projekte\/kioomars-musayyebi-quintett\/\" target=\"_self\">Kioomars Musayyebi Quintett<\/a>, an ensemble of
