Four musicians who came together from very different backgrounds form the Kioomars Musayyebi Quartet. Christian Hammer, Erfan Pejhanfar, Nils Imhorst und Kioomars Musayyebi perform impressions of oriental melodies and rhythms blended with European arrangements — world music with influences from jazz.

The focus of the music is on the compositions of Iranian santur player Kioomars Musayyebi and the arrangements of German guitarist Christian Hammer.

The combination of melodies and instruments merges into a new whole, creating a unique sound. It is in the interplay and the atmosphere between the musicians that the essence of the Kioomars Musayyebi Quartet is found. This is how the distinctive sound that defines the band emerges.
